 HBCU Famous is a luxury streetwear brand based in Detroit, Michigan founded by Miah Powell, a proud student of the incomparable Howard University. Our brand exudes all of the confidence and swag that HBCU’s embody. To attend a HBCU is to love an HBCU. We are HBCU Famous.



Why Did We Start This Brand?

 HBCU’s are the pinnacle of Black educational excellence. Their core beliefs, educational value, and imparting of blackness is what makes them famous. Our undying need to support HBCU’s is the driving force behind our company.  HBCU Famous’ commitment to excellence embodies all of the dedication, love and support that is appreciated, demanded and expected of Black Colleges and Universities, their students and alumni.
